A Fantastic Sports Day at The Vale!
It was so great to enjoy a truly fantastic Sports Day, filled with energy, enthusiasm and a wonderful sense of togetherness across our whole school community on Wednesday this week.
This year, all the children took part together in their house groups, creating a real sense of unity and belonging as pupils from across year groups encouraged, supported and celebrated one another. It was wonderful to see all of our Vale Learner Qualities in action, with children embracing challenge, showing resilience and determination, and, above all, demonstrating genuine enjoyment throughout the day.

A huge congratulations to Shergar, our overall winners this year!
It was also lovely to welcome our Nursery children, who joined us for their own event and brought great excitement and joy to the day. We were equally impressed by the fantastic participation from parents in their own obstacle race – thank you for entering so wholeheartedly and adding to the fun atmosphere!
Events like these would not be possible without the support of our community. Thank you to all of our families who came along to cheer and encourage, and a special thank you to Mr Howey for the loan of a gazebo.
Above all, we are incredibly proud of our pupils. Throughout the day they showed kindness, compassion, enthusiasm and a true commitment to including everyone – values which make The Vale such a special place to be.
