GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

The School Day

8.30 - 8.45 am

 

School gates open these fifteen minutes allow for a staggered arrival, reducing congestion.
8.45 am Start of school
11.00 - 11.15 am Morning Break
12.15 - 1.15 pm Lunch Time
2.35 - 2.45 pm Afternoon Break for Infants 5 minutes in pm Junior ‘refresh’ break
3.15 pm End of school day for Infant Department
3.30 pm End of school day for Junior Department

 

The official part of the school day starts with morning registration at 8:50 am and ends at 3:15pm for Infants and 3.30pm for Juniors. This includes breaks but not optional before or after school activities. The total time this amounts to in a typical week is 32.5 hours for Infants and 33.5 hours for Juniors.
