GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Children in Need 2025

We had a fantastic day celebrating Children in Need.

Thank you to all the children for coming to school in their spots and mufti, and to everyone who contributed donations at drop-off – your generosity will make a real difference.

Our annual coin trail was a huge success, with each class adding their coins and watching the trail grow. The children showed great excitement and teamwork as they helped create the trail, and it was wonderful to see everyone so engaged in this fun activity for such a good cause.

We also held our raffle for the special Pudsey Bear, and congratulations to the lucky winner Georgie in Y2! We also had 3 lucky Children in Need T-Shirt Winners: George in Wren Class, Connor in Y5 and Bethany in Y6.

Events like these not only raise valuable funds for Children in Need, but also help our pupils develop a sense of community, empathy, and the joy of helping others.

A big thank you to Kate McBarron for counting all the coin trail, Rachel Oliver and the PTA for helping lead activities and everyone else for making the day so special.

We raised an astounding £338.47 for Children in Need – well done everyone!
