World Book Day 2026
We had a wonderful World Book Day at The Vale, filled with stories, imagination and whole-school reading fun as part of our Year of Reading.
Children across the school enjoyed celebrating their favourite books and taking part in a range of creative activities designed to spark a love of reading.
A special highlight was the School Council’s trip to Waterstones in Epsom, where our pupil representatives selected a fantastic range of new books for every class.
These were purchased using generous vouchers kindly donated by Elivia Homes at Headley, whose support means our children can enjoy an even richer and more diverse selection of reading materials in their classrooms.
The children are already excited to dive into the new books, and we look forward to seeing the stories, discussions and learning they will inspire over the coming weeks.
