Physical Education is very important at The Vale Primary School. We provide a variety of opportunities for the pupils to take part in physical activities. Every child has 2 hours of PE a week, as well as being given the chance to take part in extra-curricular activities.
Children are taught to appreciate the importance of a healthy lifestyle and begin to understand how an active lifestyle affects their health, fitness, and concentration. We encourage and promote good sportsmanship, fairness and respect.
We always encourage the children to challenge themselves in lessons, clubs, or the competitions they take part in.
Clubs
The children can enjoy a variety of clubs after school and at lunch times. The range of clubs will vary from term to term.
Teachers run clubs for a small cost for example netball and football.⯠In addition, we offer a growing selection of external fee-paying clubs, for example: Gymnastics.
We maintain a ‘Club Etiquette’; children enrolling for a club are expected to attend regularly and if they are unable to attend one session, parents will be expected to inform the Office as soon as possible.
Do you have any special skills/interests and would like to run your own club? Please get in touch as we are always keen for parents/carers getting involved in our school community!
PE Kits
Children are expected to wear their PE kit for PE and Clubs, this includes:
· A blue t-shirt
· Black/Navy Jogging bottoms or shorts
· Plain black trainers or plimsols (no logos)
· School PE jumper
