Beth Moulam, Great British Boccia Paralympian
The Vale Primary School welcomed Beth Moulam, Great British Boccia Paralympian to school on the morning of the 10th March. Beth had attended the school as a child and left Year 6 in 2004 to move onto KS3. The children listened with such engagement and respect whilst Beth talked about her journey from Reception class at The Vale to Tokyo Paralympics in the Summer of 2021. She humbly talked of her dream to work and help children who were non-verbal like her and her dream to run! She has now achieved both. Beth not only is in one of the highest ranking Boccia teams within the world but also a great frame runner for England and one of the top 10 in her field. It was with great fondness that Beth talked about her time at The Vale and how she had learnt to ‘Dream; work hard; and be resilient’ whilst she was there. With great pride the children and staff thanked her for her visit and how she had inspired them to ‘Dare to dream!’
