GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

It was wonderful to welcome MP Helen Maguire to The Vale today to take part in the FA organised #BiggestEverFootballSession. The initiative aims to promote and celebrate girls' participation in football which we certainly did. As part of Robins's class wider curriculum learning they have started a new unit on 'Art'. They thought about the answer to the question 'What is art?' Art is something that is created with imagination and skill and expresses/shows important ideas or feelings. They then began to explore how Art can be made by making marks with different tools and media. We finished by painting pictures linked to the season of Spring. Further learning will include what they notice about colour and learning to make different shades, looking to see if all Art is the same and how they can use shapes in Art?
