GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

The Vale Primary School and Nursery, Junior Choir were so proud to be welcomed at the @racingwelfare Christmas Dinner to spread some cheer with a few carols. We are so lucky to be part of this community in the Epsom Downs and Headley area and our children find such value in the contributions they can make. We were also so fortunate to have such a great day to walk up to the Grandstand - what lovely views from outside and inside the Queen's stand. #community #itschristmastime #growlearnflourish #inspiringall @glfschools GLF Schools @glfschoolsfoundation

Well done to our Year 5 girls who when faced with some fierce competition did not give up. They drew and lost in their matches but showed amazing team spirit. Thank you parents for bringing and supporting them. #ActiveLearning #Participation #growincharacter #embracechallenge #aspireforthefuture #inspiringall GLF Schools Active Surrey

As part of EYFS's wider curriculum learning on 'People who help us' they were keen to welcome their first visitor. He shared with the children some fire safety tips, clothes he has to wear to keep him safe and what sort of person can become a firefighter. The children asked him some really thoughtful questions. Inviting "people who help us" (community helpers) to visit schools is crucial for a child's development, as it provides real-world context to learning, fosters a sense of community safety and belonging, and inspires future aspirations. #ActiveLearning #growlearnflourish #inspiringall @glfschools GLF Schools

This week, Year 1 enjoyed a lovely local walk around the village as part of their wider curriculum learning about local buildings and structures. The children explored different types of buildings, noticing materials, shapes, and features, and discussed how these buildings are used in the community. Experiences like this help bring learning to life, connecting classroom knowledge with the world around them, and inspiring curiosity about their local environment. @glfschools GLF Schools #growlearnflourish #ActiveLearning #inspiringall

Thank you to Mrs Singleton for coming to talk to the children this week in Parliament Week. They discussed local issues that were important to them and wrote letters to @helenmaguiremp who has said to Mrs Singleton, she's looking forward to receiving them. #communitymatters #parliamentweek #growlearnflourish #activelearning #inspiringall @glfschools

Year R children loved dressing up as part of their learning about People Who Help Us. This hands-on experience is an important part of their development, giving real-world context to their learning and helping them understand the many roles that keep our community safe and supported. Activities like this foster a sense of belonging, build respect for others, and can even inspire early aspirations as children explore the different ways they, too, can make a positive difference in the world. #peoplewhohelpustheme👮🏻♂️👷🏼♂️👩🏼🌾👩🏼🍳👩🏼⚕️👩🏼🚒 #ActiveLearning #growlearnflourish #inspiringall @glfschools GLF Schools

Our Chair of SSB Mrs Singleton came in to share her expertise on Parliament week in years 4-6. The children were intrigued with some of the facts and history.
Each of our schools has its own distinct character and culture which is respectful of its community and context but their utmost common ground is that it is our staff that make each school.
